Strong National Museum of Play

Ronchester, NY, USA

Strong National Museum of Play, Parking Garage

The Strong is a highly interactive, collections-based museum devoted to the history and exploration of play. It is one of the largest history museums in the United States and one of the leading museums serving families. The designer wanted the “fun” to begin as visitors approach the museum. To reflect that, they created a five-story tall, glass-enclosed stair towe parking facility shaped like a person who is waving, which can be seen from miles away. The “fun” theme continues inside the garage with vibrant wall colors used to mirror the colors inside the museum.
