The Chestnut at University City is a 30-story multipurpose project in the heart of Philadelphia. The development consists of 405 luxury apartments with comfort spaces and a swimming pool. Its development is conceived just like a "tower in the garden", with indoor and outdoor spaces that offer an elegant environment for a pretty urban life in the heart of the university city. The high-end aesthetics flow into the large lobby space, to give the building monumentality and a sense of permanence. The façade is the first element on which the eye falls looking at the Chestnut Tower, being a building full of charm. Therefore, a product like the GammaStone Air in Carrara marble, which is very functional and durable while maintaining its high aesthetic quality, immediately became the perfect choice for this structure.

SITIO is a collaborative studio of architects, urban planners and planners based in Philadelphia. Founded by Antonio Fiol-Silva, the company focuses on transformative developments sensitive to the context in which they are located, on a wide variety of scales. SITIO creates its projects with an eye towards sustainability and design excellence while respecting the local context. This attention has been honoured with several accolades including six Philadelphia Willard G 'Bill' Rouse III Awards for Excellence and one ULI Global Award for Excellence.
