Cepsa, Service Station

Cespa opens its first service station in Tenerife presenting itself with the elegant choice of GammaStone Glass Air solution. The use of large ultra-light panels (surface tempered glass) with the red colour of the “traffic light” gives an innovative appearance and perfectly matches the ecological approach of this modern station project. This is the first gas station to have a smart building implementing a new construction model. Surprisingly, this building incorporates the most advanced technologies in terms of energy savings. Among these stands out the ventilated façade GammaStone Glass Air, composed of a tempered glass that causes a significant reduction in heat dispersion.

Although most of the panels are simple rectangular shapes, this project is strongly characterised by the realization of curved glass angles (with a radius of curvature of 450 mm). In addition, the choice to use the same material for the cladding of the access doors, made them melt completely in the façade, improving the continuity of the material between the various surfaces. The result is a visual effect of absolute essentiality and linearity.

Architectural Firm

Malka+Portús arquitectos

This is a fresh architectural firm founded in Madrid in September 2010, by Lionel Malka and Juan Portús. The firm's main philosophy is to provide a satisfactory service to the customer, based on the respect and trust of both parties. Although the firm has carried out projects in all sectors, from residential to offices, the main interest of the company remains in retail projects of all types and scales. The experience of the two founding partners in small retail spaces, such as Sephora stores, but also in large shopping centres, allows the company to meet all the needs of retail customers.
