Screen House

The Warc Studio was commissioned to renovate an Edwardian residence in the Australian suburb of Camberwell, Victoria. The house needed small renovations, such as the development of its bathrooms and wardrobes, as well as an important innovation that would have completely changed its functionality.

In fact, the architects used solid wood screens, which ended up characterizing the project to distinguish it from its neighbors. Despite the addition of aesthetic value, the purpose of the screen is to limit the exposure to the sun without changing the structure too much. The screens have been positioned perfectly to allow the right amount of exposure, leaving the view usable.
