Rope wave office By Usual studio

The "Rope wave office" is a 170 square meter office, designed by Usual Studio, located in the QSW cultural center of Shanghai. The client wanted to create a workspace with a rather limited budget, but that was still innovative and attractive.

Most of the materials used in the office are natural resources, such as ropes, steel and wood. These materials can be recovered at low prices, they are also eco-friendly. In order to enhance the beauty of the wise use of these materials, the studio used the use of rope as the main design concept.

The strings, woven in different ways, define the spatial partition of the environment, giving each space its own function. The Rope wave office is decorated with warm colors and lighting and elaborate furniture, trying to create a comfortable and friendly space.
