The Hoop lamp

The design studio Front created a series of lights for the Zero design brand, which feature brightly colored metal wires that support a rounded light diffuser.

Presented at this year’s Stockholm Design Week, Front’s latest lighting project features a globe-shaped speaker that appears to rest on the bottom of a metal frame.

This cage structure, available in a range of bright and soft colors and sees eight steel wires form an oval cage that holds the diffuser in place. To make it appear that the two elements are totally disconnected, electricity is fed through wires that are hidden inside the outer cage and arrive through the bottom of the glass lamp.
