The new skyscraper signed Snøhetta

The "Snøhetta" studio has recently revealed the design of a new residential skyscraper that will be built in Upper West Side on the Manhattan Island.

The skyscraper will feature a "digged" terrace inside the building. The building should be located near the Lincoln Center and Central Park. Lined with limestone, bronze and glass, the building will occupy the whole land between 65th and 66th Street.

The shape of the modern building and beveled contours has its most particular feature on the terrace located on the 16th floor. Intended as a "social heart" for the building, the exterior terrace with steps will be decorated with lush vegetation and offer views of the Hudson River, Central Park and the city.

Above the level of the terrace, the building is carved. Its corners are turned into balconies for housing units. The skyscraper will reach a maximum height of 775 feet (236 meters) and will contain 127 apartments. The construction should start in the spring of 2018.
