The Safari Camp

Nomadic Resorts in collaboration with Bo Reudler Studio designed and built the spectacular Safari camp, the first of its kind in Sri Lanka.

Located at the edge of the Yala National Park in southern Sri Lanka, the eco-resort welcomed its first guests in November 2017.

The architecture of the field is perfectly integrated into the site, which includes arid forests that blend into the indented sandy coastline overlooking the Indian Ocean. The shapes of the project refer to natural formations located in the landscape of Yala, from the huge boulders present in the site to the smallest termites that pop up here and there.

Large arched openings and high vaulted ceilings create a strong sense of space. The existing vegetation has been maintained to guarantee an authentic original landscape experience, complemented by an attractive collection of pointed plants and elegant rock-balanced sculptures.

The interior recalls the hidden treasures such as crystals and veins of precious minerals, conveying a sense of discovery, adventure and enchantment. The interiors combine ecological luxury and local elegance with a contemporary touch.
