Benedict Canyon By Whipple Russell

Straight lines and intersecting floors define this house on top of a Californian hill, designed for a sports professional who wanted a home suitable for entertainment. The project, called Benedict Canyon, was built on a hillside in Beverly Hills and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding hills.

A spiral driveway leads to the decidedly modern residence, which includes 883 square meters. In the shape of a flat T, the residence consists of rectilinear forms with variable heights, with concrete facades, gray stone and vast expanses of glass. At the top of the driveway, the team placed a two-story building that houses the studio and the gallery. The property also includes a wonderful swimming pool and an outdoor staircase that goes up to a room with glass walls and fine wood details.

Directly in front of the entrance is a recessed living room, with leather sofas and full-height shelving. To the left of the entrance is an open-plan kitchen, a dining area and a family room. The cabinets were manufactured using imported walnut and wenge wood and the built-in grills were imported from Japan. The custom dining table is made of Calacatta porcelain.

The family room has a neutral color palette and contemporary decor, with a large stone-clad fireplace. Other areas of the house include a home theater, a bedroom and a bathroom for a housekeeper and a large roof terrace.
