To ensure maximum safety, the façades GammaStone AIR have been subjected to rigorous tests required by the ETAG standard guidelines, conducted at the Istituto Giordano. The sample under test is a portion of the ventilated façade with concealed hangers and consists of the supporting structure in extruded aluminum profiles and brackets, external cladding of 3000x1000.

GammaStone AIR panels have passed the strict American fire test NFPA 285 in accordance with the International Building Code. The NFPA 285 test provides a method for determining the flammability characteristics of exterior nonload-bearing wall assemblies/panels. The test method is intended to simulate the fire performance of an entire multi-story exterior wall assembly. The wall assembly is exposed to direct flames for 30 minutes.

GammaStone AIR panels have passed the 2017 last issue of the British fire test BS 8414-1 in accordance with the International Building Code. The BS 8414-1 test provides a method for determining the fire performance of non-loadbearing external cladding systems applied to the masonry face of a building.
The test evaluate whether a cladding system subject to fire breaking out of an opening (such as a window) in an external wall, will result in excessive fire spread up the outside of the building and the potential for fire to re-enter at a higher level.
