To ensure maximum safety, the façades GammaStone AIR have been subjected to rigorous tests required by the ETAG standard guidelines, conducted at the Istituto Giordano. The sample under test is a portion of the ventilated façade with concealed hangers and consists of the supporting structure in extruded aluminum profiles and brackets, external cladding of 3000x1000.

NFPA 285 FIRE TEST CERTIFICATION

NFPA 285 FIRE TEST CERTIFICATION

GammaStone AIR panels have passed the strict American fire test NFPA 285 in accordance with the International Building Code. The NFPA 285 test provides a method for determining the flammability characteristics of exterior nonload-bearing wall assemblies/panels. The test method is intended to simulate the fire performance of an entire multi-story exterior wall assembly. The wall assembly is exposed to direct flames for 30 minutes.

RINA IMO MED CERTIFICATION

RINA IMO MED CERTIFICATION

Gammastone is now RINA IMO MED certified, GammaStone AIR panels meet requirements as per FTP Code 2010 from IMO.
The aim of the test is to determinate the flammability and the calorific value of a wide range of materials. RINA IMO MED Certification places GammaStone AIR among the few ultralight cladding panels meeting the stricter international regulations in force in the naval industry.

BS 8414 FIRE TEST CERTIFICATION

BS 8414 FIRE TEST CERTIFICATION

GammaStone AIR panels have passed the 2017 last issue of the British fire test BS 8414-1 in accordance with the International Building Code. The BS 8414-1 test provides a method for determining the fire performance of non-loadbearing external cladding systems applied to the masonry face of a building.
The test evaluate whether a cladding system subject to fire breaking out of an opening (such as a window) in an external wall, will result in excessive fire spread up the outside of the building and the potential for fire to re-enter at a higher level.
The test is carried out in specialist laboratories, and is performed on full-scale systems incorporating: joints and corner details, fixings, insulation and other elements of the system construction.

WIND LOAD RESISTANCE

The test was performed in accordance with the EOTA standard guideline (European Organisation for Technical Approvals) ETAG 034-1:2012 April 2012 “Guideline for European technical approval of kits for external wall claddings - Part I: Ventilated cladding kits comprising cladding components and associated fixings.” The sample was mounted on the test bench and was subjected to the test of resistance to wind load in depression, with measurement of the deformations under load and detection of residual deformations according to paragraph 5.4.1 “Wind load resistance” ETAG 034-1 : 2012. The test results proved to be exceptional in depression 4610 Pa (470 kg/sqm), resisting the force of a hurricane.

The test was performed in accordance with the standard guidelines:

- Resistance to impact
- Performance requirements
Also this test proved extraordinary results. The panel resists to impacts by 0.5 and 1 kg hard body and 50 kg soft body.
